After 15 years working in marketing, events and business education, I am now utilising my skillset to support and enhance businesses locally and nationally on a freelance basis.

Experience

Events Management

General Manager for The Hub (live music venue), Devon and Invention Studios (arts centre), Bath.

Responsible for brand development, programming, running of venues on a day-to-day basis, digital and print marketing materials and strategy, hiring of interns. Implementation of sustainable financial, administrative and organisational procedures.
Established relationships with local businesses, local press, members of the district council, arts council, local and regional funding bodies. Coordinated with national and international music agencies and artists, their managers and tour managers, negotiated fees, contracts, sponsorship and touring requirements. Successful application to the Awards for All Lottery Fund. Strong leadership skills, efficient, creative, organised, excellent networker and communicator.

Marketing

Advertising Marketing Executive for Future PLC and Marketing Officer for the University of Plymouth

Print and digital media content and strategy across 20 brands at Future PLC and for the University. Produced market insight, market share, market intelligence and competitor reports, lead generation. Daily Communication with advertising sales directors, associated publishers, print production and promotional materials companies. Use of In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote and PowerPoint. Manage and prioritise a heavy workload, work under pressure to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of creativity, both in design and writing. Excellent communication skills and ability to work to a brief.
